When it comes to architecture's creativity and design, fighting against the unstable tides could be inspiring sometimes. Now, rather than fight the water infiltrating their land, the Dutch will use it as part of a new development called 'New Water' — designed by Koen Olthuis of Water Studio. The Citadel is a water breaking energy efficient new project that features 60 luxury apartments, a car park, a floating road to access the complex as well as boat docks. It looks great from above and has what it takes to cause serious head turns and consider moving in.

Located in Cuneo, Italy, the Horizontal Space was designed by those creative minds of Italian based architect firm of Damilano Studio. Assembled to impress by its unique contrast height and its own vast private garden, this house comes with simple geometric shapes organized horizontally in such a way that it creates a spacious form effect. Both the dining and the living room are all bordered by large bedrooms (gorgeous colors) and feature huge windows to invite natural sunlight in.
