Posted: 14 Aug 2012 11:01 AM PDT Designers use their imagination to make a living, so it is not very important for them if they design clothes or home accessories because they use creativity anyway, they just need to adjust their products to the target they aim. This happened with Thomas Paul, too, as he started his life as a designer of clothes in New York, this cosmopolitan and sophisticated city that makes it almost the center of the world. He ended up designing home items like this beautiful Orange Coral Rug and he did both parts of the job very well, with maximum seriousness and creativity. This beautiful rug is very sweet and nice, though having a simple design. There is an orange coral against a beige background, the pattern making it the centerpiece of your living room. The rug is entirely hand made and also woven by hand and the wool used comes from New Zealand, which is in itself a guarantee for quality. The rug is made in India, but it is afterwards shipped all over the world. Initially the rug was available in three sizes, but now there is only one size still available for purchasing online (8′ x 11′) and its price is about $814. 3 Easy Ways To Decorate The Stair Banister Posted: 14 Aug 2012 10:12 AM PDT Sometimes the most noticeable parts of your home will be forgotten in the mist of all your other decorating adventures, like painting the walls and deciding on curtains. Take the stairs banisters for example. You see and use them everyday, but rarely they are shown any attention to detail or even given the correct upkeep. But don’t worry, today we’ve got three wonderful, easy options for you to try. See what you’d like to do and test out something different for those bare stair rails! 1. Shiny Lights. Twinkle lights are not just for celebrating the holidays! They’re perfect for year round decor. They bring in some girlish charm, extra personality and act as a nice nightlight for those late night stays in the living room. Obviously, twinkle lights are ideal for this type of decorating but don’t limit yourself to the usual color. Try out different shades and don’t over power the room with too much light. Remember, adding some sparkle to any space of the house only gives it more surprise, texture and oomph!
2. Pretty Paint. Here’s another obvious update for those stair banisters. Paint them! If you really want to dive in and update their look, try using a new color on them. Even if you want to brighter them up with a neutral shade, or darker them up with something deeper that’s a great way to change the atmosphere. But if you’re feeling really gutsy, try a color! Aquas and blues are always great, but my personal favorite would be to choose a vibrant magenta or bold plum. And if you’re really creative you can try your hand at this ombre blue styled project! You can also create something with two tones .. black and white! 3. Graceful Garland. Obviously, rows of evergreen and pretty little ornaments are ideal to hand throughout the holidays, but that’s not the only time you can decorate your stair rails. Use different types of garland throughout all the seasons to highlight the closest holiday or something with a little more pizzazz. Use beads to jazz things up a bit or even thread some ribbon to give a softer look. For the spring and summer, don’t forget to utilize all the freshest flowers on some wires or lines of strings. You could even try to tie some scarves together to give a ethereal feel. The house that looks like a Tram Posted: 14 Aug 2012 08:48 AM PDT This unique house, both in shape and design, looks like the Lego projects you did when you were little. Without any hesitations, this awesome looking house from Melbourne, Australia was made for a family’s children enough old to live by their selves and for guest that the family had. Named by them the "dream house", this amazing propriety with two levels looks just like a tramway, with big windows all over the place and with most of the rooms located at the lower level. The designer from Vibe Design Group made this choice because of the owner's passion for vehicles. So, you can easily pass from a room to another. With a dynamic form, this luxurious house has all the things you need. And the best part is that at the first floor you find the dining and living room with a fireplace and a wall-mounted TV, a bedroom, the kitchen or the laundry, without making too much movement. Most of the doors are disguised and there are irregular shaped places all over the place for giving fluidity and functionality to this amazing home. The best part is situated at the upper level, where we find an "isolated apartment" for the children or for guests. So, you can stay there and nobody will disturb you.
Very fancy on the inside and very well designed, the house’s outdoors look awesome as well. Here you can find a swimming pool and of course a garden, where you can spend you evenings. It`s the perfect home not just for visiting a part of Australia, but also for living and doing your day by day activities. Traditional home turned modern in Plano, Texas Posted: 14 Aug 2012 08:00 AM PDT This house is located in Plano, Texas and belongs to a couple that, even though loved the original design of the house, reached a moment when they got tired of it and decided it was time for a change. They decided to give their home a makeover, to update it and to transform it into a more modern space. They didn't make any dramatic changes. The couple decided to give their home a more modern and fresh look by reupholstering their furniture. They also removed the carpeting and replaced all the light fixtures. All the walls of the house were repainted. They were mostly painted white in all the rooms. This allowed the owners to focus on the details and decorations in order to make their décor original. They chose art as a main element and they also chose to display some of the pieces they have collected during their travels.
The family room is an elegant space with a stylish sofa and matching armchairs and a metal pyramid table to complement them. They also included a contemporary coffee table into the décor that serves as an accent piece. To make the room feel more airy and open, a large mirror was placed above the sofa. The house originally had a fireplace but the couple decided to demolish it along with the brick structure surrounding it. They freed up that space and this way they were able to create a clean and airy look.{found on houzz}. Minimalist outdoor sofa with straps by Kathi Hermann and Denise Hachinger Posted: 14 Aug 2012 07:21 AM PDT An outdoor sofa, as opposed to one designed for indoor use, has to have some significant changes in their design. It needs to be crafted using waterproof materials, to be durable and resistant and, of course, to be comfortable. This one meets all those criteria and also has something else that makes it unique. This outdoor sofa has a very interesting deign. Even though very simple, the sofa stands out. It's because of the system designed to provide it with stability. The seat and the back of the sofa are held in place with straps. It's an unusual detail and it also makes the sofa have a sporty look, quite suitable for outdoor spaces. This piece was designed by Kathi Hermann and Denise Hachinger and it has a very chic and appealing look. It's something that would easily adapt to most outdoor spaces, including terraces, gardens and decks. The sofa was also crafted with waterproof materials for the seat and back, a must-have for any outdoor piece of furniture. The material is quilted with a diamond pattern that, along with the texture of the material and the bold inserts of color in the form of straps, creates a very well balanced and chic look. It's a high-quality product that can also be easily transported thanks to its flexible and adaptable design. Posted: 14 Aug 2012 06:48 AM PDT I think all the knowledge gathered by our ancestors is inherited by us at some unconscious level, maybe in our genes, maybe in our DNA. The fact is that people nowadays still love animal skins very much, I could say as much as back when they were forced to hunt in order to have something to eat. Now they can have all the ecological clothes and shoes there are, all made of materials that do not harm animals, but they still want something at least remotely similar with animal prints, animal skin and so on. This White Croc Bar Stool is very popular and my guess is because it is covered with White Faux Croc Leather.
The item is very fine and it is rather classy, perfect for an elegant bar. It is white and shiny, with long metal legs and faux leather. The four legs are neatly connected together and glued to a stainless steel frame that continues with the short back rest. The cushion covering the seat and the back rest is soft and comfortable and makes your body feel great even in upright position. There is also a metal foot rest and the frame gives the stool stability. You can have it for $295. Posted: 14 Aug 2012 04:55 AM PDT All girls and women like jewelry. It does not matter if it is gold or silver or ordinary copper or chrome , it is important for them to have jewels because they love accessories and they use them to make themselves pretty. So, it is only natural for all women to love jewel boxes. These are their small and secret safes that keep their most beloved and expensive treasures away from the others’ reach. No wonder some creative designers had the idea of making a pendant light that looks just like a jewelry box. This is the Jewel Box Mini Pendant and it looks great. This lamp is great and very appropriate for any home or office that is meant to be used by at least one woman and not only. It is actually a stylized metal cage that looks like a box and is further protected by a transparent glass rectangular box without sides. The inner cage that houses the light bulb is actually made of aluminum, so pretty lightweight, and the linear suspension has chrome finish that is all sparkling and shiny. It works with 40 watt, 120 volt, T4 G9 light bulbs and can be purchased for $96. You might consider using many of these lamps for a better effect, since this one is rather small in size. However, the designer is great. Subscribe to Homedit's Feed to get constant updates of our Awesome Posts!© Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Jewel Box Mini Pendant |
The table that has only two legs Posted: 14 Aug 2012 03:09 AM PDT Have you ever imagined a table with only two legs? Well, the designers from Ercol invented one, in their Prices Risbrough factory. But you need to make sure you put it near a wall, that’s a condition. The Quello Table has a contemporary design and with his minimalistic look, it fits very well in your room and it takes a few space for you to well place it. Even if you use it like o place to put your things on or you match it with a three legs chair to function like a desk, this table will resolve all your problems. I say that because it has also a storage place. The top of the table slides and you got yourself a drawer to put your books or to put things that you can’t keep outside. And because it slides both ways, the things that you put above won`t be disturbed.
Made from oak tree and with a very nice and bright color, this Table will bring a cozy but yes fancy atmosphere to your home. And everyone will ask you how is it possible that a table stands only on two legs. This handcrafted table is perfect for hallways, but you can also use it for studying or simply reading a book.Available for £800.00. That’s because is a place where you spend a lot of time and you need to have a lot a space for your papers and of course a lot of deposit space for your things. And they come in so many shapes and colors that is very hard for you to find the perfect one. When I first so this desk I immediately felt in love with it Because of his peaceful color and his nice and simply form, the Hackberry Desk is the best I saw so far. Because is a combination between modern and antique. I say that because the top piece is made from massive wood and gives it a stylish an serious look as far as the drawers brings in the modern allure because of the color and the type of wood they`re made of.
So, the Hackberry Desk is perfect for you if you have always wished for a massive desk and still a modern one.
