How to decorate a living room using black furniture

The living room I the one room of the house that should have an elegant look. It's where you receive your guests and where you spend time with friends and family. The living room should also be simple and neutral as not to make anyone uncomfortable. It's not an area that needs to be personalized. So what better color for it than black? It seems like the perfect color for the furniture. It's elegant, simple and neutral.

However, decorating a living room with black furniture is not as simple as it seems.Since black is the opposite of white, the symbol of purity and brightness, you might think that black furniture will make your living room seem dark and small. It doesn't have to be the case if you know how to use this color in your favor. First of all, it's the furniture that's black and not the walls so there are plenty of ways to bring light inside the living room and to make it feel airy and bright.

Before you start moving furniture around the room, try to create a design. You can use graph paper or maybe you can find an app to help you with that. It's best to have a plan before you get to work. Next you'll have the paint the walls and ceiling. It's best to use a light and neutral color. This way the black furniture will stand out and the room will be airy and bright. Create contrast by adding a pop of color to a white décor

A white décor is the perfect starting point for a creative designer. A painter has a blank canvas to begin with that he then turns into an art piece. You have a white room that you can creatively transform by using color. A white interior décor can be very refreshing and relaxing but, in the same time, can also become monotonous. A 1-room apartment is something most people avoid. It's mostly because most 1-room apartment are very small, tiny and crowded. But it all depends on the way you decorate it. For example, this apartment is very bright and airy, despite the fact that it only has one room. It's a beautiful room and that's what it counts.

The apartment is located in Linnéstaden. It sits I a building that dates from 1929 with a classicist style and it covers an area of 41 square meters. Vintage luggage furniture collection to remember old times

Vintage designs started to become more and more popular, as a paradox. Although they use old objects and symbols, they are in trend. Emmanuelle Legavre is a French designer and decorator that works from 10 years for different well-known furniture brands. Her idea of luggage look-alike chests was very inspired because the shape of the furniture allows a profitable storage while, letting you to install such a piece of furniture in almost any kind of interior design, from classic to the most modern ones.
