Wooden Tray Stand

Posted: 20 Aug 2011 11:01 AM PDT

I have a large family and I love to have them all for a special dinner on each holiday or celebration. But, even if I have quite a large dining room table, I never get to place all the things I need on it. There’s always a bottle of mineral water or some glasses or even some napkins left on the side of the table. We all sit and I want a safe place for these things, but also somewhere handy so I don’t have to get up from the table and fetch them from the kitchen. So the most useful thing for  my problem is a tray that can be placed somewhere near the dinner table. Something like a stand for trays. Perhaps something like this wooden tray stand that you can find on Torquato.

This is actually a wooden tray standing on a tall wooden stand with crossed legs. What is very interesting about this item is the fact that you can actually remove the tray without having to bend the stand or something and when you are ready just place the tray back on the stand. The stand and the tray are both made of very nice-looking dark stained wood and you can purchase the product now for £ 65.00.

Tara kitchen faucet designs by Sieger Design

Posted: 20 Aug 2011 05:20 AM PDT

Dornbracht has added two new designs to the Tara collection. This is a classic collection of kitchen faucets that feature elegant lines and delicate designs. Something that distinguished this collection from the others and that all the pieces have in common is simplicity. The designs have been reduced to the essential structure, with no additional details or decorative elements. Since the faucet is an accessory itself, this is probably the best choice.

The two new additions are a Tap with pivotal and extendable spout and a Single-hole mixer with 235 mm projection. They share a classic design, with elegant lines and a simple look. Notice the beautiful curves that both designs share. They are very delicate and add a soft touch to these steel structures. Everything is reduces to its essentials. The materials are high quality and this improves the functionality of the products. The only visible elements that seem distinguishable are the crosses and the curves.

Tara is a classic collection and all its pieces are elegant and stylish. They are the perfect choice for a simple or minimalist home, a modern or contemporary home. But the extremely simple design makes these faucets extremely versatile and they can be included in basically any type of home. Your kitchen will look beautiful with the new Tara collection. The products are available is a variety of materials choices and color finishes. You can choose the one you like best or the one better matches your home.

Peaceful and Relaxing Florida Beach House

Posted: 20 Aug 2011 02:20 AM PDT

For those who saw the movie called Something’s Gotta Give, the inspiration source for this home is obvious. Actually, the owners themselves admitted the fact that the movie definitely inspired their holiday home. Located in Grayton Beach, Florida, this beach house is one of the most relaxing and inviting ones you could find.

The owners wanted to have a retreat for the summer season and the holidays where they can go to relax, clear their heads and release some stress. Indeed, it’s a great place for such a house. The beach is close and the breeze is very relaxing. Most of the people don’t even dream to have such a place for themselves. They usually try to find a nice hotel to spend some days at but of course it doesn’t compare to a cozy home like this one.

You might never get the chance to have a similar place just for yourself, but in the meantime you can rent this one when the owners aren’t enjoying it themselves. The interior is light, clean and simple, with a combination of traditional and modern elements that complement each other. The whole house was designed and decorated in a way that would make anyone feel comfortable in there. It’s a very inviting place and I’m sure it’s very relaxing as well.{found on emeraldcoasttours}

Beautiful Contemporary Casa Codina in Argentina by A4estudio

Posted: 19 Aug 2011 06:30 PM PDT

Situated on a flat land of 1.500 square meters, this beautiful house was a project developed by A4estudio in Mendoza, Argentina. The house has been organized around a central courtyard located in the middle. This provides a quiet and protected open space and it’s nice to have a piece of nature that you can admire from inside. Also, there’s a large lateral garden that has been created for even more freshness.

The garden and the interior courtyard face north and benefit from the direct light and heat coming from the sun. The smaller and private areas of the house are facing east, while the service areas are located to the west. There seems to be a very clear delimitation of the different areas in the house. This allows everyone to have privacy and intimacy and it doesn’t create a juxtaposition of clearly different areas.

In terms of design, the project is a modern creation, with a contrastive look that comes from the combination of open and closed areas. The main facade of the house was designed using perforated aluminum material great for ventilation. From the central courtyard there;s a big concrete wall emerging that was designed to protect the house from solar radiations coming from the west. The interior design varies according to the type of room. But the overall image is modern, simple and elegant.

How to choose shower curtains

Posted: 19 Aug 2011 04:55 PM PDT

Planning decorations for your home is very exciting and is a great fun. But, when you start implementing the designs into reality, you realize that it is not as easy as it seemed to be and you end up with a confused mind. This happens especially because of the availability of varieties in each category and to add to it, each one is better than the other be it in style, design, cut, color or anything. The same happens when you decide to buy shower curtains to your bathroom. Here are some tips to help you clear your confusion.

At first, determine curtains of which color will complement your bathroom’s color. Ones this is determined, next is to check your budget. You don’t need a huge investment to get a shower curtain, however as compared to the normal one; a higher quality curtain will cost more. Same goes with the design; better the design higher is the price of the curtain.

Now comes the quality of the curtain. It is advisable to go for a good quality curtain, as you won’t be changing shower curtains at regular periods. Moreover, it will be constantly subjected to heat, humidity and water, so a better quality is preferable. Shower curtains are mostly made up of fabrics that are easily washable.

One very important factor to consider while buying shower curtains is the material, as not all shower curtains' materials are safe for your health and environment.  Poly vinyl chloride (PVC) shower curtains have some harmful chemicals, which are not good for environment as well as human. So, instead of PVC curtains go for shower curtains made of TPU. When it comes to choosing the design of the curtain, you have lots of options. Designable curtains always add beauty to the room it is added and so does the shower curtains by adding beauty to the bathroom. Curtains that actually complements the design of the bathroom makes it look cozier, elegant. For kids bathroom you can go for designs like cartoon characters, ducks, raindrops etc. Curtains with contemporary designs fits well in bathrooms with a very modern look.

The look of a shower curtain, however expensive it may be, will be spoiled if you use cheap shower curtain rings. Also, match the material of the rod with that of the rings, like metal rods for metal rings and plastic rods for plastic rings. While choosing shower curtains make sure that it is durable and easy to clean.{pic from scrollmag and hgtv}
