Modern House in Vienna by Caramel Architekten

Everybody dreams about having a big, beautiful house where they could raise their children. The next house we are going to show you is a dream come true for a family with one child. Completed in 2010, this modern home was designed by Caramel Architekten in Vienna, Austria.

The Wohnzimmer House is siting on a 500sqm plot and this contemporary masterpiece has four levels, three of them above ground and one below, a total of 300sqm of living space. The first level presents itself as a big open floor plan that houses the living and dining areas and the kitchen. The space benefits from floor to ceiling windows that bathe the house in natural light, a divider that separates the living area from the dining room which is also a media center on one side, a bar on the other one and a double-sided fireplace.

Moreover this amazing house has soft, neutral tones that create the feeling of an airy space. Throughout the entire place you can see modern furniture and some bright, bold colored features that make the home feel warm and welcoming. The bathroom, for example, is a big room that has simple furniture, but it also has gorgeous tile that gives the space some personality.

The Wohnzimmer House is an amazing residence that has everything you could dream of, a courtyard where your children can play, a swimming pool ans contemporary living spaces.

Bright and cozy three bedroom apartment in Stockholm

Located in Östermalm, a district in Central Stockholm, Sweden, this apartment would be a beautiful choice for a family. It's a large apartment, with a lot of open spaces and an overall airy and inviting look. The apartment features 3 bedrooms and two ¾ bathrooms so a small family would definitely find it appealing.

The rooms are large and very bright. This impression is also given by the white color that's been used for the walls, the ceiling and by the large windows with white drapes. Even though the floor is brown, white rugs have also been used. Also, there are several large windows placed on the walls and on the fireplace that increase the impression of a larger space.

The apartment is located in a 1882 building and this is visible mostly in the antique details that have been preserved on the ceiling, above the doors and on the fireplace. The add elegance and a sophisticated look to the place. In terms of interior design, another visible element is the furniture. It has a vintage look but it's relatively simple and seems more modern than old. The sofa from the living room is the foal point of attention and adds color and fun to the whole room. The rest of the furniture is either beige or natural brown.

Water Tower Turned Into a Home

There are plenty of unconventional houses. Some are old churches, others are boats, but a water tower house is something we don't see as often as the other ones. Nevertheless, this was the dream of Patrick Mets who always wanted to was fascinated by water towers since he was a teenager and always wanted to live in one.

In 1996 he managed to find one that had just what he wanted so he bough the place, even though it had been previously sold at a public auction. Later, he found out that buying the place was the easy part. Because the tower was located in a protected zone with restrictions on construction, he had to spend eight years before he found a loophole that allowed him to pursue his dream. He declared the tower a historic building so he was allowed to turn it in a family home as long as he kept the structure intact, which is exactly what he wanted.

With the help of Mauro Brigham he then managed to restore and redesign the tower and turn it into a lovely family home. In 2009 the renovation was complete and Mr Mets could finally move in with his partner Valérie Lecherf, her daughters Valérie Lecherf and Justine and the family cats Fidel, Castro and Grizzly. The top level features the kitchen and living room, below is the master bedroom, the fourth level is the family bathroom, the third level belongs to Ms. Lecherf's daughters and on the first and second levels are the main entrance area, which doubles as a two-car garage in the winter, and the storage and utility rooms. It might be unusual to live in a water tower, but for this family it's just home.{found on nytimes}

Clocks are very useful, as they tell time and with their help you have the sense of reality and measure time and try to be at work and at all your appointments in time. Challenging Eco-friendly House in Australia – Point Lonsdale Beach House

Melbourne-based studio Baenziger Coles have created another stunning house in Point Lonsdale, a coastal township on the Bellarine Peninsula, in Victoria, Australia. This unique house is a sanctuary to retreat to and has an inspiring design that will leave you speechless.

The architects took on a daring project that had a few challenges. One of them was the site which was flat and uninteresting and this made it hard to obtain an original shape. Another challenge was to create a two storey home in a single level houses neighborhood.

This modern house is warm and welcoming, it is functional, eco-friendly and it responds to the environment. In order to create a bug, airy space the architect used an open floor plan and bright colors for the walls. The main attraction and focal point in the living and dining areas is a double-sided fireplace. The kitchen benefits from a lot of storage space, as well as upscale stainless steel appliances. Finally the bathroom feels like a spa due to the wooden panels on the walls, big mirrors and great bathroom furniture.

Visiting the Amazon headquarters in Iaşi, Romania

Amazon Development Center had recently moved its headquarters in the new office building that's part of the larger project called Palas. The new space is a 2000 sq m area and it presents several advantages. The building is located in center of the city and this offers the employees easy access to the nearby restaurants and relaxation areas. Also, the hotels located in that area are another advantage as employees from the other Amazon centers often visit this location. Finally, there's also the underground parking space that has been created as part of the Palas project.

The new headquarter is designed as an open space and it includes 10 meeting rooms and a very nice relaxing area that includes things like restaurants, a billiard room, an xbox and massage chairs. There are no official information regarding the number of employees working there, neither the number of parking spaces. However, we know that in the late 2009 there were 29 persons working at the Amazon and that in the summer of 2010 there were another 12 free spots on the Amazon's website.

The building where the new Amazon headquarter is located is a 5 storey structure with 7.300 sq m of rentable property. Approximately 6.510 sq m of that space represents office spaces and 795 sq m are commercial areas. Overall, the Palas project features 3 office buildings with a total of 20.000 sq m of A class office spaces.{pics from amazon}
