Everyone wants their bathroom to look modern, simple and organized. In order to do that you often need very few pieces. However you have to be careful when choosing them. Dovecote With Stand

If you live in a house and you have quite some space outside of the house and maybe you love birds, too, you might like to have doves, because they are nice birds , cute and the symbol of peace, too. So many people prefer building a special house for them outdoors, so that they can have the freedom to come and go as they please.

Beinhaus – the Bone House in Hallstatt Austria

Tourists have always been fascinated by unusual things. That is why they go to see the pyramids in Egypt or the Great Chinese Wall. However, from time to time, you do meet some buildings that are very ordinary on the outside, but they are very special for the things they have stored inside. That is the case with Beinhaus located in Hallstatt, Austria. If you ever visit this town you will only see a small building situated near the town cemetery. It looks quiet and peaceful, nice and pretty old, covered in bricks and showing a nice geometry on the outside. It is covered with a tin roof that protects it from rain and bad weather.

Well, be prepared to be shocked because the inside of this Beinhaus is totally creepy: a bunch of more than 1,200 human skulls. And, as if this were not enough, all the skulls are colourfully painted with flowers, leaves, laurel branches and have the names of the deceased written there, too. The explanation is rather simple if you come to think of old times, but now it is unthinkable: the town cemetery was too small and could not expand any longer, so they decided to take out the dead after 15 years and keep the skulls in the sun and moonlight until they  were totally clean and bleached. After that they painted the skulls with flowers and leaves because the drawings were meant to replace the flowers on the grave.

The charnel dates back in the 12th century, but the skull displaying started only in 1720 and the last skull added belonged to an old woman who died in 1983 and this was her last wish. It may be creepy and scary, but this unusual Bone House attracts thousands of tourists every year.

Beautiful Clamshell Chair

I have recently read some stories for my children and one of them was “The Little Mermaid”. I admired together with the kids the beautiful furniture marine-themed and this popped to my mind again when I found this nice chair on the Internet. It looks just like a clamshell and is perfect for the little girls dreaming to be like Ariel, the little mermaid. It is comfortable and nice-looking, in the shape of a clamshell.

This beautiful clamshell chair has nice short legs that are painted in black and have just the right size for supporting the weight of the chair and its occupant. Sophisticated Ame Restaurant Design in Toronto

When you hear the words “Ame Toronto”, what do you think about?Not many people would think about a restaurant,except if they know about it and this is what it is: a  restaurant with a totally sophisticated design. Toronto stands for good life, for quality and this restaurant is exactly the same thing, according to the same pattern of modernity.

The designer Munge Leung, intended and successfully managed to create a comfortable and modern place which provides a cosy experience for its guests. What is interesting about this place is the ideal combination of lights and deep shadows creating dramatic effects and offering intesity to the entire area, but this is not the only good part; the use of natural materials and modern Japanese spots, the oversized screens with all sorts of patterns make the restaurant even more attractive  and give it an unique air.

The tables and the chairs are simple, no matter their round or square form, the bar is definitely singular in its shape, the windows offer an exterior perspective over the city, but while you are in there,  you have a certain feeling, a pleasant mood and you do not want to leave. Everything around is inviting in its modernity, in the simplicity given by the furniture pieces and the complexity given by colors, lights and shadows. It is definitely one if the restaurants which worths being tried.
