I think we can say now that we're living in a modern world, although a few years into the future this affirmation might sound silly. Anyway, since time can't be stopped, all we can do is adapt. This doesn't mean that we can't be nostalgic. A lot of people seem to appreciate old pieces more than modern ones. It's the case of clothing or furniture.

Vintage and antique pieces have something special, a look that can't be compared with anything else. Let's take this piece for example. At the Chelsea Flower Show there is an amazing building designed by Marcus Barnett Landscape Architects in collaboration with NEX Architects based on the image of plants.The design of this wonderful pavilion was inspired by the deep structure of a leaf. It imitates the cellular structure of a leaf which usually can be seen at a microscope. How to Brighten up a Dark Room?

Are you unable to use and enjoy your room effectively just because it is dark? Do you do not find the idea of breaking down a wall to create window space appealing? Do you have a limited budget, and thus you are unable to install skylights on the ceiling? Well, if this is the case, you will be pleased to know that there are several alternative solutions to brighten up a dark room without breaking your piggy bank storage.

The easiest way to brighten up a dark room is to dress the walls in a fresh coat of paint. Cover the dark shades with vibrant and light colors.Different tones of the same color can also be used to bring in a dramatic effect in the room. In addition, ensure to employ gloss finish paints, as it will reflect the light instead of absorbing it like the flat paint colors.

Bulky and heavy pieces of furniture will definitely make a room appear smaller and concentrated. Therefore, instead of introducing bulky furniture in dark colors, bring in light furniture pieces boasting light colors. This will also light to bounce, and the room will become bright and open.

Alessi Shiba Saucepans

I have a lot of pots and pans in my kitchen, but I use only a few of them, usually the ones with a medium size that are very useful and easy to handle. I also prefer the kitchen items that are covered with a special layer that prevents the food from sticking on them and the ones with lids. Any way, I found these wonderful saucepans on Amazon and I thought I should share.

These Shiba saucepans are produced by the manufacturer called Alessi and designed by the Japanese Fukusawa. The teamwork led to a great product that you can see in the pictures. The saucepans are made of multiply (AISI 430, aluminum, 18/10 stainless steel) mirror polished and come with their own lids. What I like most about them are the wooden handles because I simply hate getting burnt from the metal handles of the pots. So if you want to order them, you can do that for $154.
