I am receiving complaints regarding "no shows" and this needs to be addressed. DON'T request an item if you aren't going to pick it up. To not show up and not contact the member who offered the item, is very rude and selfish. We as adults should act with a little common
sense and courtesy, after all, they are "gifting" an item to you
unconditionally. If you can't make your pick-up time, at least let
the offerer know that you can't make it. It's the least you can do.
For the member making the "offer", if you have a "no show", keep a
list by your computer. Don't offer another item to a "no show, no
contact" member. Eventually, maybe they will see that being a "no
show" with "no contact" has consequences. I also encourage you to use the "No Show" database in the group database section or just click here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ClermontFLReUseIt/database
If a name appears on this "no show" list more than twice in a 3 month period, that member will be removed from the group without notice. Members can add information to the "no show" list. If it needs to be edited after you add it, please let one of the moderators know and we can edit it for you. If everyone uses this list, you can check it before offering your items to see if they have been a "no show, no contact" previously. I am sure this will help cut down on "no show, no contact" activity.
