Description from Architect:
Renovation of the two first floors of a 1920s triplex for a young couple with a child.
The first floor is organized around a red block, surrounded by a huge living space. While being the focal point of the reshaping, this block also serves as the anchor post for the stairs. Through clear glass sidewalls, the second floor is built as a corridor of light that penetrates into the depths of the dwelling, creating an enfilade of rooms including the master bedroom, storage and work area.

Relaxing room deisgn ST ANDRÉ RESIDENCE ST ANDRÉ Residence Interior Design by Naturehumaine Architecture Design

Description from Architect:
Renovation and transformation of a 1910 duplex to a single family house.
The existing building is located at the intersection of two alleyways in the Plateau area in Montreal and was characterized by a very narrow backyard wing.

On the ground floor, the existing walls were removed to create open-air living space delineated on one side by a huge storage volume covered in wood panels. On the second floor, the client needed three distinct bedrooms. To fit the master bedroom inside the extremely narrow backyard wing, a cantilevered room was added to get more convenient interior dimensions. On the ground floor, the kitchen area takes advantage of this constricted space by inserting at its end a built-in table and bench to create a cozy and bright breakfast area.

Guz Architects have sent their design of Meera House to Contemporist.
Description from the architects:
This house is located on a new housing estate on the island of Sentosa adjacent to Singapore. The plots are not large and neighbouring buildings are built close to the sides of each house.

Thus our strategy was to build a solid wall to each side neighbor to provide privacy where possible, while creating a central light and stair well which would funnel the sea breeze through the centre of the building. The front and rear of the building meanwhile, terrace back allowing each storey to have visual or actual access to greenery.

The intention was to try to allow each roof garden provided a base for the storey above allowing the layered effect to make each storey feel like it was a single storey dwelling sitting in a garden…..as much as we could do in the close confines of sentosa island and with such a large building!!
