Ontario California Freecycle needs volunteers to be group moderators.
Moderators must live here in Ontario/Upand.
If you want to make a contribution to your community and ultimately to
the planet, we sure could use your help. Would you like to learn about building an online community? How to keep stuff out of the landfills and get it to people who can use it?
Being a moderator doesn't require a lot of time but does require some
dedication. There is lots of support available, it's fun and is a small thing that can make such a big difference.
The two moderators we have on this group are handling way more than
we expected as the group grows! Your contribution will ease up their time constraints and, really, all it requires is about 15 minutes a day four times a day, or any other schedule you can offer.
Simply answer these questions and send to us. You'll hear back within a week. We will not share your personal information with anyone else, but we do need it for safety and liability reasons.

Please tell us:
1. Your full name, contact information (include a phone number), and
address where you live.
2. The e-mail address and ID you use on Freecycle.
3. Do you have time to moderate the group? It takes at least 10-15 min
three to four times a day to review messages, etc.
4. Do you have access to a computer, even on weekends and holidays?
If not, what days and/or hours would you be available?
5. Are you a team player? Or do you prefer to work alone?
6. Any relevant experience that would be helpful to make our list grow.
You will receive on line training AND be mentored for as long as you
like
with one of our team members and then you can go ahead and moderate
e mails and make members happy!
Please get back to us as soon as possible if this sounds like
something you'd like to do. And if you know someone else who would
make a good moderator, please pass this message on to that person.
