maybe you can use the paraffin?
A while ago we made Girl Scout emergency paraffin lights by coiling cardboard strips in 1" high metal cans, put a wick in -- we use a small birthday candle, then fill with melted paraffin. We probably have enough of these and don't need to melt the paraffin in these candles to make any more.
