Countertop Bag Dryer

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 10:50 AM PST

My mother taught me that it is very healthy and useful not to spend money in vain and to use and re-use some items if you can do that and save both money and energy. I mean why would you buy a new bag every time you go shopping instead of using the one you have just bought ? Why would you change the bag of your sandwich every day and throw it away all the time when you can re-use it for at least a week? It’s not being cheap, but saving money, which is a very good feature, especially now when the economical crisis takes out the worst in people? This Countertop Bag Dryer  proved to be a very useful tool.

You may laugh as much as you need but it helps you dry the sandwich bags you clean and dry every day and when you do the maths and calculate the amount of money saved in a month you will feel better already. This tool is made of wood and you can use it for drying plastic bags or even cups. It is made of harvested birch and ash woods. It is simple and very useful and you can order it nor for just $20.

The New Moscow office of Walt Disney Studios

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 10:29 AM PST

Everybody is familiar with the name Walt Disney. We grew up with the movies and cartoons created by this company. But when we were kids we never wondered how and where were those cartoons created. Well, it just happens that in Moscow there's a new Disney office so we're going to take a look at it.

The office was designed by Unk Project architects and it's located in Moscow, Russia. The project area measures 685 square meters and the construction was completed in 2010.The main idea for this office was a space that reminds us of Hollywood Studios «Golden era» with that specific atmosphere. There are opened century old metal columns, arched concrete ceilings, aged ceramic tiles and brick walls along with many other details.

This vintage décor was then combined with contemporary technologies resulting in a unique space. The office actually includes two separate areas. There's the working office and the guest zone with a cinema hall. It was difficult to incorporate the cinema hall into the design but it had to provide quality sound but it would also have to be completely separated from the other spaces and phonically isolated. Both the office and the cinema zone had to follow the fire safety regulations. Overall, the result was a modern office space with reminiscent architectural details and an impressive cinema hall in the middle that connects everything.

Sunshine Cosmos Storage Bushel

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 09:15 AM PST

Every time I clean my house I find something to store. There are many toys and newspapers, magazines and all sorts of other things like recycled paper, fire wood or socks, dirty laundry or something else you need to deposit somewhere for a shorter or longer time. And since they can’t have their own place all the time, you must store them in a drawer or some other storage device like a bushel for example. This Sunshine Cosmos Storage Bushel is very nice, merry looking and very useful. It helps you store the things you need inside and also offers a great design for the eyes.

What I like about this bushel is its stability. It can stay up very well thanks to the steel frame . It can easily be moved from one place to another because it has two “handy” handles attached. The fabric it is made of is a bit hard near the handles in order to make the bushel more resistant. Its dimensions are perfect 19″ top x 12″ base x 18″h (24″ wide with handles) and you can use it in any room of the house. It is perfect for the kids room and the colour recommend it for this room, too. You can purchase this item online for $275.

Bouquet Decorative Soap

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 07:56 AM PST

Normally soap is used for washing your hands. You simply wet it and wash your hands after making some foam or bubbles. It is fun and effective. The germs are killed and the dirt is washed away. But sometimes you can also use soap for making a room, especially the bathroom, smell nice. I remember that my grandma used to place some lavender soap between the sheets in her wardrobe and it always smelled so nice in there. What about using a soap for decorative purposes? It’s a totally new concept, but it’s interesting and creative. Look at this soap! Isn’t it very nice-looking? It is the Bouquet Decorative Soap.

This special soap is covered with felt wool and has some flowers designed on top. It is soft and it has a very beautiful flavour. You can simply use it as decoration for the guest room or for a bathroom in a hotel or hostel or something similar. It is soft thanks to the felt wool, so you can use it as a pin cushion, too. This soap is available in two designs: peach with green leaves and a flower on top or moss with white and peach flowers. You can order one such soap now for $14.

White apartment in a 6-storey building

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 05:11 AM PST

This lovely apartment is located on the second floor in a 6-storey building from West Harbour. It’s a very beautiful apartment with a lovely modern interior and lots of beautiful colors all over the place. The apartment is currently on the market for $3,995,000. It has a very spacious living area and two other lovely bedrooms. The total living area measures 96 square meters.

The apartment is situated in a building that was constructed in 2007 so it’s quite new. The building has an elevator as well as a large balcony. The apartment itself features a very stylish interior décor. Moreover, it also allows exquisite views over the sea, the sky and the bridge. The apartment also features a large open plan kitchen and lots of windows in all the rooms. This ensures a bright décor and an airy atmosphere.

There are plenty of simple decorations available for the kids room which contribute to a Danish theme: think bedding in black and dark fabrics,white walls, simple furniture and some fabulously freaky from the popular Monster High toys on the window sill.

Also, it includes two beautiful bedrooms, one of which is also connected to a balcony that offers wonderful views of the Turning Torso. The other bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and it’s also connected to a balcony that faces the sea. Most of the rooms have plain white walls and oak floors. The location is very convenient and it offers great views. The kitchen features a stainless steel refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher and a built-in microwave oven. 4 Creative alternatives for the traditional Christmas Tree

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 04:53 AM PST

Once again it's time to decorate our home for Christmas. It's time to get the boxes out and to retrieve the garlands, Christmas lights and all the other fun decorations. And, of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without a Christmas tree.Some people tend to perceive some of the traditions as old and as a result they're searching for modern and fun alternatives. It's easy to do that with the decorations but when it comes to the Christmas tree it's a little more complicated. So if you're having trouble coming up with a creative idea, here are some alternatives that might help.

Just because it's called a Christmas tree this doesn't mean it actually has to be a tree, or at least not anymore. This means you can improvise and creative something similar to the original design but with different materials. You can use metal, wood or you can simply create a shape out of decorative lights. Imagine you're decorating an invisible tree. Having a support would help. Another interesting idea is the one with the books.

If you have several bookshelves placed one of top of the other you can use books to recreate the shape f the Christmas tree. All these are very creative and fun ideas and would probably successfully replace the traditional tree if that's what you want. However, I wonder where the present go in this scenario.{pics from 1,2,3 and 4}

The Lovely Rita shelf by Ron Arad

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 03:57 AM PST

This is Lovely Rita. It's a very beautiful and very unusual piece of furniture. It's actually a shelf. It has an unusual name, especially for a piece of furniture. Nevertheless, it suits it well. The Lovely Rita shelf was designed by Ron Arad back in 1996.

It's a surprisingly modern design considering the year of the conception. The shelf is made of batch-dyed PVC. It's light and durable and it has an intriguing design. It can be used as single shelf or used with multiple items with the same design and repeated endlessly. This way you can create original and interesting combinations and you can even use them to create your own bookcase. The Lovely Rita shelf is manufactured in Italy by Kartell.

Its strange design allows it to be very versatile. You can use the Lovely Rita shelf in the living room where you can store books, decorations or small other small objects. You can also use it in the bedroom, maybe above the bed where you can place scented candles. Also, because of its special shape, you can combine multiple items to create different figures on the wall. The Lovely Rita shelf's overall dimensions are 39″ w | 7.5″ h | 7.9″ d. You can buy it for $285.00 and the delivery usually takes around 7 days.

The Lighthouse 65 Residence With Awseome Views

Posted: 12 Dec 2011 02:17 AM PST

This is the Lighthouse 65, a luxury 3-bedroom house that sits in a beautiful area on the South Coast, in the United Kingdom. The house was a project by AR Design Studio. The site on which this residence is located is very beautiful and it offers great views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight.

Lighthouse 65 is a very wide residence. In fact, the main concept of the architects was to maximize the building's width so that as many rooms as possible would be able to enjoy the beautiful views. That's also why the house has a very precise division of the rooms. All the bathrooms and utilities are located to the rear of the house. The residence sits 6 meters below road level and this allowed the architects to transform the roof into a parking deck for three cars. It's very unusual but it works and the key is to take advantage of everything the site has to offer.

In order to the enter the house, you'll have to walk through an illuminated glass cube above a concrete stair core. This is in fact the lighthouse that gave the name of this residence. The glass glows all night into the darkness while also indicating weather conditions. It's green when the weather is friendly and red then the atmospheric pressure drops. It's a great indicator for the yachtsmen passing by. It's indeed an unusual residence.{found on architezer}
