There are different pattern and shades of lights available that can be used for a place. But, there are some things that need to be kept in mind while choosing the lights.

One of the very important factors that need to be considered before the selection of lights is made is the measurement of the living room. Proper lighting for the living room can only be done when one has the dimensions of the room. The construction of the ceiling and the floor should also be considered while choosing the lights.

Lights are installed not only for lighting an area but also for adding looks. Corner or ambient lights are very helpful in this sphere. Duplex Apartment Renovation In The Heart Of Paris

Posted: 27 Nov 2011 11:15 AM PST

The home of architects Valerio Maria Ferrari and Cinzia Mazzone from VMCF Atelier is in the heart of Paris.It is a 1.700 square feet duplex and it was created for them and their family.Now,it has two bedroom suites on the ground floor, two home offices and public spaces on the upper level.Usually french buildings have very tall chambers, this is no exception so for the decorators "the sky is the limit".

This particularly apartment is marvelous.It is classy, elegant , warm it looks and feels like a family place.Wooden  floors , wooden beams and  book shelfs are the element of high class.You would have to know and to apreciate a good piece of furniture and a splendid element of design to integrate it perfectly to confer value of the space.

Vivid colors remind constantly that this is a elegant but modern home.Lighting system is concived  for each room separately, so it can reveal the  ambiance desired.Doors don't just allow the passing from one room to another but they open a new  horizon to style and taste.The value atributed to an object or objects it is not automatically derived from the frame or author or even price tag, but from  the role of the object in its setting.{found on homedsgn}

Marias Brandy Glass

Posted: 27 Nov 2011 09:11 AM PST

Glass manufacturing has long been transmitted from generation to generation by the most skillful glass blowing masters as glasses were in the past a luxurious item. In the meantime glasses are now produced and manufactured at industrial scale by automatic machines, but some of them still require a lot of skill and ability. That is why some areas in countries such as the Czech Republic and Poland are still famous for the glassware they produce. This Marias Brandy Glass is hand made in Poland and looks great. As you can see it has a special shape that suggests you it is used for drinking brandy. The special shape f the glass allows the brandy inside to breathe and have the best flavour.

It has a special design with snowy etchings and icy polish, a smoky outside but also the diamond cut that makes it spark so fine. The glass is special and each is unique. Every such glass sells for €32.00. I think it is worth every penny since very skilled people who inherit this gift from their fathers and grandfather mouth blow every glass and cut their sides in diamond like shapes. Of course this makes them precious and you should better wash the glasses by hand.

Modern Japanese House by Studio SKLIM

Posted: 27 Nov 2011 06:38 AM PST

Studio SKLIM created in Nagoya, Japan a modern house with modern techniques.It is made out of timber from a renewable source, a building material which has the strongest wheight to strenght ratio coupled with steel bracketing to reduce movements during earthquaqes, a very common thing in Japan.

This modern structure  contrasts highly :the interior with the exterior.If from the outside the building looks futuristic and out of the box on the inside is really warm and welcoming.Shiny wooden floors,white plain walls, big windows make from this household a nice livable place .Dark wooden panneling on the walls also create an intimate working and living place, as we can see here.A major importance was given to the interior decoration.

From walls to book shelfs, from kitchen appliances to tables and chairs, from comfortable couches to lighting system, everything was carefully chosen to be part of a wonderfull clean interior design.We all know that the Asians follow some rules derived from nature regarding design and decoration also building.

Thereby the exterior design of this home may look a little strange but it is indeed a combination of modern looks with functionality.Looking from the street straight to it almost an optical illusion is created,like upstairs is an empty room with a window in the back and no wall towards the street.As I was saying, this is a representation of modern looks and clearly defined rules about living standards.{found on archdaily}

Intereior design pictures from Jack Thompson

Posted: 27 Nov 2011 05:25 AM PST

Jack Thompson is a very talented photographer who specializes in interior design photography. When you usually see pictures of a particular interior or of a certain building you usually think "what a great artist is the one who designed this place". Nobody ever thinks "what a talented photographer must be the one who took this picture". It's about time someone thought of giving those people some credit too.

This time we're going to focus on Jack Thompson's work. His portfolio is really impressive. It includes inspiring pictures of gorgeous spaces. Of course, the subject you choose to include in your photographs is also important. Still, real artists manage to turn anything into something beautiful. You might think it's not such a big deal to take a photo of a home. But you have to take into consideration factors like the light, the contrast, the angle and stuff like that.

Jack Thompson doesn't only take pictures of houses and interiors. His portfolio is also filled with all sorts of fun stuff so it's really worth to take a look. It takes a lot of time and effort, not to mention talent to create such an impressive portfolio. But once you manage to create a name you can't relax just yet. People will continue to have high expectations and you have to keep up the good work. So it's really quite difficult to be in Jack's place.
