| Peacock Storage Box from 3 Sprouts Posted: 11 Oct 2011 10:39 AM PDT Children are small human beings, but they have lots and lots of things, especially toys and clothes and their toys seem to invade the whole house. They play with the toys all the time and do not put them back, as they are small and you must do this for them. That is why, if you want to make a compromise and try to keep your house clean and keep the kids’ toys in a place where they can have easy access, the best thing to do is purchase some very large storage boxes. For example this Peacock Storage Box from 3 Sprouts is the perfect example of what a storage box should be. This storage box is made of polyester, so it can be easily cleaned, even in the washing machine. It has stiff edges because there are some cardboard squares on the sides. So it is able to stand and house all the toys and other things you want to store there. The square shape of the sides make the box a perfect cube and this way easy to store in closets or on shelves. You can have it now for $27.99. Subscribe to Homedit's Feed to get constant updates of our Awesome Posts!© Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Peacock Storage Box from 3 Sprouts |
| Industrial and yet vintage interior design Posted: 11 Oct 2011 10:24 AM PDT Industrial object and decorations seem to be quite popular these days. They are no longer seen as rough and uninviting, but as romantic and striking. Here's an example of an interior design that combines these elements with vintage furniture and antiques, resulting is a surprisingly cozy home.
Notice the dimensions of the rooms on this house. It's natural for the owners to want something striking and to think of industrial-like details. The high ceiling and the grandeur of the rooms also facilitate this choice. Moreover, all the walls and ceiling have been painted white, a neutral tone that creates the impression of larger spaces, mostly used in small apartments or houses. The floors are also white, with some exceptions in the bedroom where there's a soft green tone and on the hallway where there's a combination of different-colored tiles. Nevertheless, the colors sued soft and pastels throughout the house.
As for the furniture, there are several metal pieces, several other recycled and handmade objects and lots of vintage furniture pieces. They have been nicely complemented by antique details and industrial elements. It's a house with personality and with a very distinguished look. It's not the typical traditional house neither a contemporary one. It seems to be a combination between multiple styles, among which the vintage and industrial ones are the most visible.{found on Living Agency} Subscribe to Homedit's Feed to get constant updates of our Awesome Posts!© Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Industrial and yet vintage interior design |
| Multifunctional Micro by Sebastian Popa Posted: 11 Oct 2011 09:25 AM PDT Cooking should be a relaxing and enjoyable activity which can make you feel nice and bring many satisfactions. Think of the moments when you managed to prepare a lovely cake or a delicious meal for you family how proud you were of you and your work. You were definitely very satisfied when you saw the smiles on their faces and their empty plates. In order to create all these things you need some good cooking conditions and quality kitchen equipment.
Usually a kitchen is a space where you can find many things like cabinets, cooker, sink, fridge, dishwasher, table, chairs, and shelves and maybe the list can go on. The idea is that you need a lot of space for all these items which some of us cannot afford it.Now imagine a home appliance which contains all these items. Definitely you would say "Wow!"

| Comfortable and funny seats for Baleri Italia Posted: 11 Oct 2011 08:45 AM PDT What could be more fun than a bunch of spheres, balls or other funny shaped stools in your home? Meet the Tato family. It's a collection designed by Enrico Baleri and Denis Santachiara for Baleri Italia and it basically consists of a series of polyurethane spheres, ovals and other shapes that can be used either as stools of footrests. I would say that, given their shape and softness, they would also make a very cute and interesting addition to the children's room.
The pieces are surprisingly comfortable and they are both fun and cozy. They are available in polyamide stretch fabric (or magala wool) or stretch wool fabric and the covers are easily removable for cleaning or replacement. This also means that you can have multiple covers of different colors and replace them whenever you get bored. You can buy them separately.
As for the dimensions, they vary. The pieces have distinct names, according to their size and shape. So there's tatino that measures 19″dia, 17″h, tato – 25.6″d x 17.3″w x 17.7″h, tatone – 30.7″dia, 14″h, tato bean – 21.5″d x 41.3″w x 15.6″ h, bonbon – 18″d x 38.2″w x 15.6″h and lunella – 23″dia x 7.7″h. I personally find these pieces very cute and fun and I would love to have them in my home.Available here. | Renovated farmhouse combining vintage and modern Posted: 11 Oct 2011 08:17 AM PDT This beautiful, not to mention spacious farmhouse has been recently renovated and now it's a combination of vintage, classical and modern elements that work together and combine harmoniously to form an inviting home. As you enter, you can see a portrait that dates back to the 17-18th century on the hallway, just above a beautiful sofa. An ancient door lets you get inside and gives you a taste of what expects you next.
Inside you can admire the beautiful, traditional Catalan vault, the bleached, whitewashed walls that have a very distinguished look and the vintage furniture such as the French old garden collection and the lamp. And since we reached the outside areas, there's also a beautiful pergola and an outdoor dining area with a wooden table made by craftsmen from the region after one of the owner's designs. Everything is illuminated with French industrial lamps.
The kitchen is decorated in deep purple, not a common choice for that particular room of the house. The furniture matches the walls and everything seems to be in the same tone. In the living room there's a very cozy atmosphere, enhanced by the presence of a fireplace. The master bedroom is interestingly decorated, with an iron bed and metal headboard dressed in antique linens. The house also incorporated a sort of office with a desk placed under a picture of Sean Scully.{found on nuevo-estilo} Subscribe to Homedit's Feed to get constant updates of our Awesome Posts!© Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Renovated farmhouse combining vintage and modern |
| Five things to look out for when viewing a property Posted: 11 Oct 2011 07:49 AM PDT Viewing a property for the first time is exciting – though taking along a notebook and a trusted companion can help you focus, it's easy to get blown away by attractive décor and smooth salesman patter.
Even if it looks like the perfect property for you, don't judge by appearances: important problems may lurk underneath the surface. Keep in mind that this house is going to be serving an important function and needs to be fit for purpose, and don't be afraid to ask your host in-depth questions – after all, they're moving house too so they'll understand. Before absolutely settling on buying a house it's still a good idea to get the opinion of a professional surveyor – but below are some practical things to be looking out for right from the primary viewing stage: Structural Integrity You should be able to get a sense of this from outside the house. Check for large cracks in the brickwork, a wonky roof and missing tiles. Inside, look for cracks and damp: a dank smell, dark spots on wallpaper and rotting wood can all be signs of a larger problem. When you get home it's worth doing an internet check for the house's history – look to see if it was built on marshland or an area that's prone to flooding.
Layout Bring some essential measurements with you so you can check the house will fit your furniture. Things like sofas, beds and dining room tables are expensive so it's better to be sure they'll fit than face the unexpected expense of having to replace them. Outside, ask about parking; is there room for your car or cars, as well as the cars of visitors? If there's a garage check the security of its door as well as its dimensions. Heating and Plumbing Old pipes and radiators can be a real expense, so make sure you know if you're getting into hot water. Ask about the age and the material of the boiler and fittings and make sure you understand how everything works. If the pipes are lead and prone to leaking, avoid the property or make sure that a reduction in price will cover the cost of fixing it. Electrical The electrics in a home need to be checked every 10 years at least, so ask the homeowner if they've been reviewed recently. Older homes are prone to faulty wiring: you need to know about aluminium wires, poor insulation and faulty fuse boxes. Keep an eye out for flickering or dimming lights and the quality of the plug sockets – ask to take a look at the circuit breaker, too. Neighbourhood If you're unfamiliar with the area where your viewing is, take ten to twenty minutes to drive or walk around the neighbourhood before you see the house. Find out how far you are from amenities like a park, a health centre, grocery shops and schools – even if you don't intend to have children, they'll give you an idea of the community you'd be moving into. Keep your eyes peeled for other 'For Sale' signs – if there are lots about, ask your host if there's a reason people are selling up. | Breville Countertop Convection Oven Posted: 11 Oct 2011 06:51 AM PDT Some might say this could be the world's best countertop oven. I can't make that affirmation since I haven't seen the competition, but I can say that this is a very good one that will definitely improve your life. Breville has come up with an innovative countertop oven that can help you save time, energy and space.
Because of its compact size, the oven takes little place in the kitchen and thus you can save quite a lot of space that you can then use for something else. It's a very important aspect, especially in a small kitchen. Moreover, it's not just the size that makes it convenient. In order to use its functional, simply select it and an internal sensor will automatically calculate the time required in order to get perfect results.
You can set the heat from 120°F to 450°F and you can choose between the nine functions: toast, bagel, bake, roast, broil, pizza, cookies, reheat and warm. The sensor will automatically adjust power and calculate the cooking time so you can lay back, relax and wait for the over to do its magic. Just make sure to place it 4'' from adjacent walls for adequate air circulation. You can now buy this beauty for the price of EUR197.25. Let the oven do the work for you. | Gorgeous and Spacious Apartment in Sweden Posted: 11 Oct 2011 06:10 AM PDT Scandinavian people are perceived as cold and not too friendly persons. perhaps the idea comes from the their environmental surroundings which are not so delicate or the climate that is not so hot.
Since I had the privilege to pay a visit to this wonderful country I may say that these ideas are just some prejudices. The landscape takes your breath away with its rocky land and the beautiful North Sea and people are smiling and lovely. It is a real pleasure to visit such places where the simplicity and exquisite style and high quality go hand in hand. These people know to appreciate nature, love their country and their practical spirit.
All these elements you may also admire if you see this gorgeous apartment of 1,625 square foot, located in Stockholm, Sweden. The decorative elements seem to be the focal point for every room, especially the lamps which seem to be present all over the place. There is a mix of oriental details, vintage items and modern elements.
The large living room is a place that you cannot miss. The five pendant lamps make you imagine that you are somewhere in an oriental palace and the same thing happens if you see the bedroom .Here the details are very important and they seem to make of every space a unique room.{found on freshome} Subscribe to Homedit's Feed to get constant updates of our Awesome Posts!© Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Gorgeous and Spacious Apartment in Sweden |
| The Berthillon French Kitchen Island Posted: 11 Oct 2011 05:49 AM PDT This beautiful piece is Berthillon and it's a French kitchen island. It's easy to see the French inspiration. The piece was designed using as inspiration after iceboxes found in French butcher shops of the early 20th-century. However, it's an original creation with distinctive features.
The Berthillon kitchen island is hand crafted using old carpentry technique that might be seen as old=fashioned but they can't be matched by any modern creation. The piece is made of solid acacia and the material, together with the hand-crafting technique and the care result in a beautiful antique, a piece with character and personality that would complement any kitchen. Even though the design resembles an antique, the kitchen island benefits from modern practicality and functionality that we got used with. It features three small drawers and two spacious cabinets that open from the either side. Each cabinet features a fixed shelf. The design is compact and solid and that's exactly the charm of this beautiful piece. Add the beautiful antique details and the functional storage space and you get an exceptional piece for your kitchen. It's also a very practical area for cooking, featuring two 2 3/4″-thick rubberwood butcher blocks on top that offer plenty of room for chopping and preparing the ingredients for a delicious meal. You can buy the Berthillon kitchen island for EUR1302.11.
