Duoplane CD/DVD Shelf

Posted: 28 Aug 2011 08:25 AM PDT

I bet you all have a lot of CD and DVD cases all over your house. That happens because we are surrounded by technology and we use these items in our every day life on a regular basis. You have photos and music on them, your wedding or your child’ s birth recorded on them or simply recreational games. So after a while you realize the pile of DVD cases is bigger and bigger and you can’t find a place in your home to store all of them in a sort of order so that you can find what you want fast enough. That is why you need a CD or DVD shelf because it is the best solution to cover walls if you want a storage space than to use the floor for the same purpose. This saves space and is a very reasonable solution.

This Duoplane CD/DVD Shelf is designed by Sojiro Inoue and I guess its name comes from the funny shape that reminds you of a biplane. It is functional and modern and has the perfect size for your CD and DVD cases. It is able to hold up to 75 cases and you can arrange it horizontally or vertically on your wall, depending on your home design and available space. It is made of bent steel with a durable powdercoat finish and it is available in different colours. You can have it for $89-99.

Useful Outdoor Bar by Keter

Posted: 28 Aug 2011 08:04 AM PDT

Summer is the season that makes you melt of heat and sun. Everybody is in search for refreshing methods so that they can resist the warm and the cruel rays of the sun. A fresh drink, a delicious ice cream, a cold tea may be an option to your thirsty moments and these hot days. It is even better when you can have everything next to you and you can enjoy the relaxing moments that a hammock and a sun umbrella can offer you.

Keter designed this wonderful multifunctional Cool Bar which can be great for these hot moments. Here you can keep your drinks cold and stored in a nice manner due to the little cubby which is underneath the table top.

This great Cool Bar is an excellent outdoor table and a bar too. The advantage of its design is the fact that it can adjust its height from the dimension of a coffee table to a bar table.

Now your outdoor relaxing moments will become more pleasant for you and your family when you are able to have a cold drink next you and it is no need to go somewhere place in the house to take it or ask somebody else to get it for you.

“RE_VINYL” Wall Clock by Pavel Sidorenko

Posted: 28 Aug 2011 06:48 AM PDT

The time when everybody bought and listened to vinyl records is long gone, but there are still some creative people, except the DJs, who still use them. They use these records as raw materials for making art pieces. The best example is the Estonian designer Pavel Sidorenko who used vinyl records as support for creating very cool and modern wall clocks. This is a new way of recycling and producing new kinds of goods for the buyers.

The idea of these original clocks is pretty simple: you take an old and used vinyl record and carefully cut it according to an even more original design. Here are some examples of designs belonging to the above mentioned Pavel Sidorenko: winged bird, teapot, bat, men at war, cow, umbrella, nesting bird, penguin, monkey, chair, rhino, rabbit, etc.

The coloured spot in the middle where they normally write the name of the songs and of the band is used as the background for the clock. You don’t even have to write or stick the numbers on the disc because people are already used to “reading” the time without them, by simply watching the place of the clock handles. These cool clocks can be bought for 37 euro each.

Sparkling Spun Lamps by Evie Group

Posted: 28 Aug 2011 06:01 AM PDT

Although the winter holidays are so far away the image of these sparkling Spun Lamps made me think of those moments. Their bright design created by the Australian design studio, Evie Group reminds me of the Christmas Tree globes or my grandma's wooden spindle that she used for spinning the wool.

It is said that the Spun light was inspired by the existence of the classic wooden top toy that everybody used to play with many years ago. Now this Sun light became a decorative lighting piece which is also available as a floor, table and pendant lamp.

The Evie Group made a great combination of the old image of the wooden top toy and the new technology that it was used for the creation of these beautiful Spun lamps which belong to the Spun Lamps collection. The new screw method that offers you access to LED lighting the moment you need by a simple twist of the glass shade and their polished mirror finishes of brass and silver are things that make them more attractive and appreciated by those who intend to use them.

You may choose the floor, table or pendant lamp variant that fits you best your space or ambient atmosphere that you would like to create.

Shoe Tree Z Black Shoe Rack

Posted: 27 Aug 2011 12:33 PM PDT

Shoes are used every day, but every person has his or her own collection of shoes depending on season, so if the family has more than three members, than you must find a place to store all these shoes. And I bet this problem gets even more complicated when the woman in case is pretty elegant. Well, you can’t just throw them all in a plastic sack and store them in the attic or basement until season changes because it is improper and the shoes will get damaged. The best way to store shoes is to use their own boxes, but this takes a lot of space and also you can’t see what’s inside , so you will have to look for each pair for twenty minutes. Shoe Tree Z Black Shoe Rack seems to be a reasonable solution for this problem.

The shoe tree is a high shoe rack that is able to store up to 12 shoe boxes that are sold separately and that are arranged in an artistic manner on both sides of the rack. This one is black in colour , but there are also other colours available like white and purple and a combination of those. The rack looks futuristic and nice, more like a room decoration than a shoe rack and it is made of MDF. As the boxes are closed you can use a viewing window. The item is now available for £169.00.
