Spin bathroom collection from ps+a Palomba Serafini Associati

The bathroom is the place where people go for privacy, relaxation and alone time. Any bathroom has two basic components: the shower unit or bathtub and the toilet area together with the washbasin. It's not a very nice combination if you ask me but that's the way it is. Maybe someone will finally realize at some point that those two sides shouldn't be together in the same room.

Anyway, today we'll be focusing on the part that involves the toilet and the washbasin. These two pieces almost seem like a duo, like a couple that should always stick together. ps+a Palomba Serafini Associati noticed that too and they designed Spin. It's a bathroom collection that features a toilet and a washbasin that share the same design. The similarities between the two pieces are very visible and they go as far as possible. That's why the toilet unit is suspended and hangs on the wall. This way it looks just like the washbasin in terms of design and shape.

Spin is a collection that attempts to combine beauty and functionality. Sure enough, both pieces share the same curved lines and graceful silhouette. The overall design is extremely simple. It's a basic look with small modifications but it's enough to make it special. The pieces come in white and they are very versatile both because of the design and color.

Archibald Leather Armchair by Jean-Marie Massaud

Archibald is a leather armchair with a very distinguished look. The first think I noticed after looking at it was that the names suites it very well. I don't know which one was first, the name or the actual piece, but it's a very good combination. It's a strong-looking piece of furniture. If I were to imagine this chair as a person it would be strong man with nice muscles and with a kind look on his face.

Archibald is a robust armchair and it features a steel frame that provides durability and stability. It's covered with polyurethane foam padding, moulded, expanded and shaped with polyester wadding in the zones where more comfort is needed. It also features four relatively small feel made of cast aluminum and tubular steel with a gunmetal grey finishing. The armchair is covered with soft leather for comfort and looks.

Leather furniture is always elegant and a sign of welfare. In this case, it's also the perfect material for this particular armchair. Archibald also comes with a matching ottoman where you can rest your feet and that can also be used as an extra seat. Both pieces are very versatile and could make a very nice addition to almost any kind of home. Suthentic Minimalist Orchard House Interior by Arch11

For those who love simplistic and spacious interiors here it is a nice offer. It comes from Arch11, the designer of this subtle and minimalist interior of the Orchard House.The house is located in Boulder, Colorado and its monochromatic interiors create an image of simplicity and elegance.

Although white and grey seem to dominate the entire spaces there are also some shades of red, green or black which complete the palette of colors and nuances for this house. The two story red glass stair enclosure or the green transparent chairs contrast the monochromatic surroundings and add some color to these interiors.There are no walls as dividers for the rooms. They were removed so that it could be achieved a connection of the north and the south yards throughout the public spaces. The idea of space and light was also increased.

These interiors are an example of elegance and comfort and represent a place where you can feel nice and enjoy all the modern facilities and the space that are at your disposal.

When you have guests you serve them with water, coffee, wine, beer and any such beverages while you stay together and talk and have fun. I don’t know if all kids love books, but I hope they are. I remember myself as a child always reading books and I am looking now at my three year old sun who can’t read but “reads” the pictures in the books and is able to tell me the whole story this way. It is the most effective way of stimulating kids’ imagination to develop and to make them start loving art and beautiful things. So, if nowadays actual books tend to disappear and their place is taken by e-books, the Japanese artist Yusuke Suzuki imagines a Book Bed just for the kids.

She imagined a huge bed for kids that can be also used a playground. All these by using thing rugs or mattresses like the Japanese with soft and white bed sheets linked together just like the book pages. And when I see these funny and creative design I only wish I were one of those kids and I also wish this weren’t just a great idea. So let’s hope someone will dare produce it and sell it for us to buy.

A Typical Australian House by Wolveridge Architects

Nowadays most people tend to follow the pattern of integrating objects and landscape when they choose to build their house. This is what the Wolveridge Architects succeeded to do in Victoria, Australia, with a hill plain house. At the first sight, it is a house like any other house, but at a close look, you get to see the differences.

The first aspect that draws the attention is the rectilinear plan of the building; there is an attempt of creating a typical Australian exterior, which means a palette of natural materials and craftsmanship that reminds childhood memories. The panels of windows frame the views over the surrounding area, a typical Australian landscape; the materials seem to be others that you would expect: steel, concrete and even plaster besides the famous wood that creates a welcoming atmosphere.

The white curtains, the black doorframes and the generally dark interior blend in a perfect contrast. The wide glass windows are ideal to provide that impression of wide space and, at the same time, some great perspectives over the environment. The inside is a unique mixture of tradition- represented by the natural materials and modernity- represented by the colorful part of the house with modern furniture, large paintings and decorative objects from place to place, as a sign that seems to appear from time to time in order not to forget about it!
