For example the smell of tea and biscuits reminds me of the winter holidays that I used to spend with my grandparents. My grandma had an old brass kettle she used for preparing our morning tea. Well, I did not like that kettle very much, but I loved my grandma’s tea and my kids now love tea, too. So I tried to find some funny kettle for them. And I found this nice cow tea kettle that is small and funny and perfect for parents with small children.

| DSK’s New $ 14 Million House Arrest Residence by Leopoldo Rosati Posted: 07 Jun 2011 09:27 AM PDT An impressive building but maybe a more amazing news is that this 4 bedroom and 4.5 bathroom townhouse built in 1915 in Tribeca becomes now the house arrest spot for the former IMF president Dominique Strauss- Khan.This 6,804 square foot three storey residence was renovated by the architect and designer Leopoldo Rosati.
The living room is spacious and there are used contrasted colors like white, dark blue or red. The white walls are contrasted by the two colored paintings, or the dark blue and red furniture. The room is full of life and light, there are used decorative interior plants and in the middle of the ceiling there is a glass roof.The kitchen is elegant with a stainless steel furniture and equipment but has a narrow space. The same narrow space is available for the grey and white bathroom.
There are interior wood stairs, separated by the rest of the space by a glass wall.There is a warm, colored bedroom where wood seems to dominate all the space and a kids' bedroom colored beautifully.Here you can relax, using the modern equipment of the gym room, the cinema room dominated by a brown color and wood or the beautiful roof terrace.{Photos by: Evan Joseph |
| Innovative school design by Chartier-Delix architects Posted: 07 Jun 2011 08:36 AM PDT Chartier-Delix architects have just won the competition to design a primary school and sport hall in Boulogne, Billancourt. Their proposal is very innovative and daring but it has some flaws that we're going to discuss together. Overall, the project is very impressive as it attempts to create a very interesting combination between a public gymnasium and a school that are brought together and covered with a living shell.
It seems that the architects have tried to create a new ecosystem where local fauna and flora elements are brought together creating a very beautiful landscape. There are many different species of plants and trees, as well as small animals like bugs and owls that invite the children to explore and discover the secrets of nature. It's a very interesting idea but it seems like the kind of concept that only sounds good in theory. Now let's talk a little about the architecture and the design of this place. The project was designed on several levels and even though it looks very beautiful and interesting it doesn't seem safe at all, especially considering that there will be a lot of children playing and running in there.
The idea of trying to accommodate children and animals, plants and other natural elements is good in theory but not very easy to implement. Anyway, it would b interesting to see the final result. Hopefully additional safety measures will be included. |
