Beach houses are always interesting and beautiful. Their proximity to the sea or ocean makes them amazing regardless of the design or look. But when the house is as beautiful as the surrounding landscape, the image is twice as incredible. So here's an example that reflect exactly this idea.

The Altamira Residence is a beautiful construction located on the coastal edge of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It's a very impressive structure, as it covers 15.500 sq, ft. and it's placed on a 20 acre site. But the dimensions are not the only impressive thing about this mansion. It also has a very beautiful design, with many windows and a modern structure that allows the users to have different views on the incredible landscape. Another interesting detail is the roof of this house. It has an unusual shape that reproduces the undulations of the waves, which gives a very nice look to the whole structure. Unconventional polyethylene lamps

Lamps and pendants are important items in any home. This either makes them common and conventional or, in some cases, it gives you a reason to try to find something original and unique for your home. It's such a useful piece so you might as well make it beautiful and attractive. This also gives the designers a reason to constantly come up with new and ingenious ideas for these pieces.

So here's another unique and spectacular lamp design presented by Luz Difusion. It's actually a collection called Struk. It features various pendant and lamp designs that are unconventional in many ways. First of all, the most impressive detail is the material used to create these pieces. The lamps and pendants are made from polyethylene mesh. The strength of the material and its quality to contribute at the attractive light diffusion make it especially appropriate for this collection. The material is also fireproof, a quality that can sometimes be life-saving.

Each piece is made by hand from several layers. First, there's plastic mesh layer that diffuses light, then there's a second layer, fixed by flanges and that is made of scraps of polyethylene mesh. To complete the image, there are several strips of plastic inserted randomly into the holes of the mesh. The result is a very pleasant lamp or pendant that produces very soft and beautiful light.

This next two storey private residence in Johannesburg, South Africa was designed by architectural studio Design Partnership. This first class property benefits from a lot of contemporary and luxurious features and seems to be floating.

To start with, this wonderful work of art is one of those homes that give you the sense of comfort without having to compromise style. This contemporary house has large floor-to-ceiling windows which let natural light flood the rooms. It has big, airy rooms with some funky light fixtures that give it flavor by night and an industrial look by day. Moreover it features a gorgeous staircase that is highlighted by light, a bespoke kitchen and a fully stocked bar for hip parties.

In order to make it feel even bigger that it already is, the architects created open spaces that are great for entertaining family and friends. The house is highly functional and high tech, has modern furnishings, very well divided spaces and an eclectic flair. Some other important features are the big courtyard and great swimming pool for cooling during hot summer days.

This contemporary home is a chic place, it has luxurious features and great spaces. It is everything you could ever dream for and even more.
