And sometimes you get up already tired and wish you had some magical remedy that can give you “wings” and energy for the day. Well, you could try drinking your steaming cup of coffee poured into this nice and original Putto espresso cup.                 This unique cup and saucer is made of ceramics and looks pretty simple and plain but for the unusual wings that replace the traditional handle. The wings are made of silicone and that confers a firm grip on the cup and also feel very nice in your hand. The old ranch style house was renovated to impart a new look. The updated house features an open floor plan with the fireplace chimney as the focal point. The partition walls of the old house have been removed to allow the energy and air to travel freely. A significant feature of the house that is worth mentioning is the long storage wall which starts from the living room and continues into the dining room. The expansive kitchen island is also a key element, anchored to the chimney, always accessible for preparation and for entertaining. The exteriors, the interiors, the features, the fixtures and the materials are undoubtedly at their finest. Featuring an opulent hotel like interiors, every single element of the house has been given equal attention. Well designed and spacious floor plans have been complemented with the contemporary furniture pieces and enchanting lighting fixtures. Besides large bedrooms and living room, the structure also features a huge swimming pool, a lavish dining area and a comfortable family room. Personally I love this conteporary house, but i’m not agree with the bath that is too exposed to prying eyes and mirrors lack.

Unique asymmetrical house in Japan Posted: 24 Mar 2011 09:38 PM PDT Not blended with its background, this project is situated in Seto, Japan and has been designed by an architect studio – Auau. The most significant and interesting feature of the house is its asymmetrical shape that appears unique and distinct from varied angles. Unlike the other houses in the neighborhood, the exteriors as well as the complete interiors of the house have been done in a matte white tint to grab attention. The house features two levels and the décor inside the structure is minimal and contemporary.  White walls and brown wooden floors are simply contrasting and create a unique effect.

Turning an old concrete factory into an incredible residence Posted: 24 Mar 2011 05:12 PM PDT From the hands of European architect Ricardo Bofill comes this incredible renovation of an old concrete factory that turned out to be an exceptional architectural project. The architect discovered a vast cement factory, part of an industrial complex from the turn of the century, comprising over 30 silos, underground galleries and engine rooms.This was to be his future home, after a renovation that transformed the place into a modern proof that old charm can be brought back to life. After two years of hard work, the residence was completed. By demolishing part of the old building and redefining the outside and inside space, the remaining eight silos resulted in a combination of office spaces, entertaining rooms, a modelling laboratory, archives, a library, a projection room and  “The Cathedral”, a large space used for exhibitions or concerts. The residence is constructed to be an artistic space for both the inhabitant and his guests.{found on decoist}
