The Football Field Carpet

If you have kids than you know that winter is a punishment for the parents because the kids have to stay inside for a long time and they have to do something with their energy, so they have the most unusual and crazy ideas. For example both my kids love playing football (yes, inside the house0, even if one of them is a boy and the other a girl. But, if you are creative enough , you will be able to have some peaceful time while the kids stay in their room and are happy to do this. The only thing you have to do is offer them a strong motivation for that – like this original and nice carpet that looks exactly like a football field.

The design is specially made to make it resemble a real football pitch as much as possible. Even the colour and the white lines that are usually painted inside such a field are there. Of course, I am talking about European football or soccer, as the Americans call it, as you can see from the pictures that it looks a lot different from an American football pitch.

The size of the carpet is 120×180 – perfect for the kids room and it is made of wool. The designer is Karin Mannerstål and you can now purchase it for about 380 euro.

Stamp Rugs

Rugs are made to cover the floor in our houses, to make them warm and provide protection for the feet. They have been made of wool for a long time and, even though nowadays the manufacturers can use a lot of different materials, the best and most wanted rugs are made of natural wool. Any way, the material is important, but so is the design. If you have a nice modern home, you will certainly want a special and unique design for the rugs. One of the most unusual designs for the rugs I have ever seen is the “stamp rug”.

These special rugs have the portrait of the Queen of Great Britain designed on them, looking like a royal stamp. They even had to get the accept of the Royal House and of the official printing house for these stamps, so as the design could be as accurate as possible. These “stamp rugs” look just like the stamps of 1P, 16P, 50P, 56P and 62P. They are made of New Zealand wool and are handcrafted in the valleys in Nepal. They are available in a wide variety of colours and make your home design really special and “royal”, as you can use them for the floors or even for the walls.

How to Choose the Perfect Ceiling Fan?

A ceiling fan is a functional as well as a decorative element of a room. Besides keeping the indoor air cool, they are also known to add an extra accent to the room.

When it comes to selection of the perfect ceiling fan, the task won't pose a problem as ceiling fans are available in a wide variety of designs, styles, shapes and sizes. However, this does not imply that each and every fan is perfect for all conditions. Selection of a ceiling fan involves consideration of several factors. Let me discuss some common factors that should be considered –

Size of the fan and the room – the first factor that's demands utmost consideration is the size of the fan and the room. The right size of the fan is known to depend on the size of the room. Needless to be mentioned but a large room requires installation of a large ceiling fan, and a small room requires a small fan. The standard size of a ceiling fan is 42 inches.

Lighting – when selecting ceiling fans, you would need to decide whether you need the fans to feature lighting provision or not. Many ceilings come with lighting kits and many others don't. It goes without mentioning that ceiling fans with lighting kits shall cost more than ones without the kits.

Price – it is always better to set a price budget before you look for the available options as ceiling fans are available in all ranges. Setting a budget before shall prevent you from over spending.
