Pond kitchen by Jaehoon Jung

Posted: 30 Dec 2010 09:44 AM PST

Women spend more than a quarter of their lives in the kitchen doing different activities there: cooking, washing the dishes and so on. So it would be best to make it a pleasant activity and environment. When you buy a very nice-looking piece of furniture or a funny sink or something else that you like watching and also helps in in the process of cooking or whatever you do there, you will feel a lot better and efficient. Look at this wonderful design of the Pond kitchen! I am sure any person will be happy to use it, whether a woman or a man.

This pond kitchen has a futuristic design and looks incredible. It was designed by the Korean designer Jaehoon Jung from Kamkam. The name is given by the sink that looks like a pond because it is built so as to imitate the shape of a pond with waves. The rest of the place is spread with little “pebbles” that are in fact different buttons that start different appliances in the kitchen. As, you can see from the pictures, this kitchen stand has three sides, so the cook is basically surrounded by it and only has to stretch a hand to reach the utensil they need. Any way, great design even if you won’t be able to buy it soon.

Christmas tree lamps

Posted: 30 Dec 2010 07:47 AM PST

I know Christmas is gone and now we are planning all the details of the New Year’s Eve party, but I still feel festive and I would like to keep the Christmas tree all year long if possible. So I tried to find something to replace the famous tree and here is what I found out: Christmas tree lamps. That is I found desk lamps that are shaped like Christmas trees. They will light my way through the house in every season and will leave no dried needles behind.

The first model is entirely made of glass, actually of different size glass pieces that are put together in a very original way, looking like a real but smaller fir-tree. It is nice and fun and it lights when plugged in, but it could be a bit dangerous if you have small kids.

The second model is stained glass and it is an accurate replica of an adorned Christmas tree, with tinsel and presents under it and it will light your home long after your real Christmas tree will be in the garbage.

I like the third model most because it is made of china and has nice pictures of Christmas trees painted on the lamp shade and body and it looks very delicate and beautiful at the same time. Last, but not least, the forth model is a lamp in the shape of a fir-tree and it is lit from the inside. It is actually called the Lightree and it was designed by Letizia Censi.

They all make perfect Christmas gifts and also wonderful ways of reminding you of the holiday season.

Inflatable roof for pavilion

Posted: 30 Dec 2010 06:38 AM PST

When it is so cold outside and you are trapped in the house because of the snow, you remember the hot summer nights you spend in the garden with your friends and dream about them. Here is an interesting design for an inflatable pavilion roof that you can use when staying in the garden. It is so nice to spend the night or the entire day out around the barbecue and simply talking, but it can be annoying if it starts raining.

Well, this nice inflatable roof for the pavilion is perfect and it can be used in all seasons. It is very nice-looking and also easy to use, as you can inflate it by simply using a wood stove that is positioned in the center of the pavilion. The smoke and hot air go directly in the pillow/roof and keep it inflated. Actually people also call it “The roof that goes up in smoke” and so do those who designed it, a Dutch Design studio called Overtreders W.. It is funny, but true, right?  The roof covers all the tables and benches and also the bar , so you can organize a party out without a problem. It was thought as a mobile pavilion that can house about forty people and it was specially designed for Allerzielen.nu for a specific holiday, but it was used after that on more occasions.
