| Contemporary bathroom vanities from Dreamline Posted: 17 Nov 2010 10:56 AM PST It might seem unimportant or of very little importance to choose carefully the vanity for your bathroom, but it is a part of the overall appearance of your home and if you have a modern looking house you will want your bathroom to look the same, too.
Today I discovered some very nice looking vanities manufactured by Dreamline and sold at Buykitchencabi.net and I simply fell in love with the design. Everything is so simple, yet full of taste and you have the chance to choose between a single vanity and a double one, to choose the sink made of transparent material or not, to choose the color and shape and everything on your taste.
The model in the picture above also offers two drawers where you can deposit certain things you might need in the bathroom, both beautifully colored in a natural shade of brown that is perfectly matching the color of the walls.
But my favorites are these two single bathroom vanities that have a modern shape and are perfect for the bathroom of a modern person who loves comfort and style. The black wood shows elegance and class and the shape refinement and art. Simple wonderful.

| Should I use wallpaper or not? Posted: 17 Nov 2010 10:34 AM PST Well, it depends. The answer to this question may differ a lot depending on various factors: who you ask, where they live, what kind of climate is there, how well is the house cared for and how long are you going to keep the wallpaper on. And these are just a few of the possible variables. A lot of people prefer using wallpaper as a very simple way of keeping the house clean and beautiful without much effort.
Wallpaper used to be very popular in the old days, back in the eighteenth century in France and then it spread all over the world. Americans borrowed this habit immediately because it offered them an easy solution for covering their walls and they did not have to paint the house every year. Besides, it is very easy to clean with warm water and some detergent.
But there are also some risks when having wallpaper, too. For example if you live in a hot and humid area, it is possible to develop some mildew under the wallpaper and this might affect small children living in your house. Just make sure this does not happen in your house, too. It might also be a good idea to check what’s under the wallpaper and also remove it after some years in order to re-clean the wall.

| Posted: 17 Nov 2010 09:22 AM PST I love airplanes and I am fascinated by their ability to fly in the air, just like the birds, even if they are made of metal and glass and are really heavy and big. I simply envy those rich guys who can afford their own airplanes and stay as long as they want in one, having the power to decide where to go and what country to visit next, having apparently no frontier. Any way, now it is possible for people to taste a bit of this life or at least to spend the night on board a luxury aircraft that was turned into a hotel. It offers the amazing suit inside for guests who are amateurs of such an experience for some good money.
This unusual hotel used to be a line airplane during the Cold War and it offered seats for 172 people. Of course the seats have been removed and replaced by refined furniture and the whole plane turned into a huge luxury suite. It is now grounded on Teuge Airport, Netherlands and can be rented for $500 – the price you have to pay for two people.
It has a large bedroom with a matrimonial bed that reached both sides of the plane , jacuzzi and a permanent hostess at your service. Everything inside is classy and stylish, a nice combination of black leather and white walls. I would have loved spending my honeymoon in there for sure.

| Posted: 17 Nov 2010 08:44 AM PST When you start building your house you begin with the foundation, then the ground floor, the first floor, maybe the second floor and then the attic and the roof. But I am talking about normal houses because there are some unusually positioned houses that look upside down, with their foundations in the air and the roof on the ground. These unusual buildings can be seen indifferent parts of the world, each of them having a story and a reason for being built like that.
For example this nice blue house is located in Germany and it looks very much like a regular house … except the fact that everything is upside down. It was designed and built by Klaudiusz Golos and Sebastian Mikiciuk and their explanation was that they simply wanted to do something different. It was built like that and not built like a normal house and then turned upside down. It is perfectly safe to live in, if you don’t mind the dizziness caused by the unusual positioning of the walls and roof. Now it is a museum where people can stare at all the furniture that is glued to the ceiling.
The next house that you can see here is situated in Poland and it is now a very popular restaurant. The owners say that it represents their statement against the Communism and all the upside down things they had to cope with during that period.
What about this amazing attraction for tourists from all over the world that you can admire in Orlando, California? It is called Wonderworks and it houses many exhibitions and amusement inside, to the delight of the young visitors.

| Some dustbin ideas in and around your home Posted: 17 Nov 2010 08:29 AM PST When it comes to interior decoration of a house, a lot of attention is paid to the furniture pieces, furnishings, color palette, etc and there is one item that is often neglected in nearly every single room – dust bin. From a living room to the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and outside patio area, every area needs its own separate dust bin. In the earlier days, a typical container was used as a dustbin and hence hidden under the desk or the table. However, today dust bins are available in an array of designs, styles, sizes, and shapes and can easily be used as a vital part of your overall interior decorating scheme.
The type of the trash that goes into the dust bin assists in ascertaining the type of the dust bin that will be required. For instance, there is no use of placing a paper waster basket in the kitchen where peelings and food scraps constitute the trash. Similarly, if there is only paper waste in a dust bin then there is no use of having a lidded dust bin.
The most important dustbin in every house is the kitchen dustbin as it is subject to a large variety of scrap and waste. Kitchen bins should be sturdy and large enough as the household demands. Plastic dust bins are always a good option for the kitchen as they are easy to clean, and you can choose between swing bins and pedal bins. However, sensor bins and metallic bins also boast contemporary designs.
Bathroom dustbin should be small, simple, and preferably covered. Assure that the material of the dustbin can withstand humidity and water splashes. For the office area or the living room, dust bins have come a long way. All sorts of modern materials are being used to produce dustbins for the living room and the office as the trash in these rooms is low. Designer dustbins with mural work, mirror work, painting and 3D impressions are some options that are gaining popularity all across the globe. There has to be a dustbin in the garden or the outdoor patio area as it is not practical to go in the house every time to dispose outdoor trash. Outdoor dustbin is usually used to throw dry leaves, trimmed branches, dust, etc. You can use a simple plastic bin or even get a permanent dust bin made out of bricks and cement and get it painted in colorful designs. |
