Dunlin Marble Coasters Posted: 31 Oct 2011 10:45 AM PDT Coasters are used for protecting the surface of the table when you place some hot or really cold dish or glass on it. Furniture is very sensitive when it comes to extreme heat or coldness or maybe too much moisture, especially if that furniture is lacquered. In this case the lacquer will be affected and the dish or the glass will leave ugly marks on your furniture, be it a table or a counter top. Coasters can be made of different materials, some of them being made of wood, some of plastic and some of other unusual materials. But if you ask me the best material for a coaster is marble. It has the resistance of a rock and the good looks of a statue material. You can polish it and it will look great. Dunlin Marble Coasters are the perfect example. Marble is very good for keeping the heat and moist away from the furniture and it is also very resistant. Your other coasters may get deteriorated after a few months , but not these. These can last for ever and they are also very beautiful, so you can use them for decorative purposes, too. These coasters are and-cut and water polished and have a very nice brown colour with dark veins in it. You can buy a set of six for $78. © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Dunlin Marble Coasters |

A Drape like no Other Posted: 31 Oct 2011 09:40 AM PDT A home without curtains and drapes does not have that “something” which gives personality. Just as women are the soul of the family, curtains are the key element which makes a house more beautiful, providing that unique atmosphere which makes you feel good and which seems to summarize the taste of the owner. Nothing compares to the impression a beautiful curtain or an interesting drape makes on people when they enter a house. It is as if this elements say the story of the house and details about the personality of the one who chose it and, at the same time, it reveals the world beyond the window. Clara Drape seems follow the same pattern of good taste, high quality material and attractive colour. This cotton / linen drape makes us think about home and everything it stands for, as it is impossible to look at it and not to imagine how it would look at your own window. The mixture of red, green and gold and the pattern in itself is so beautiful that it seems unreal. You already imagine a world of fairy-tales where everything is perfect and there is nothing to affact this expression of perfection. Lined with cotton to provide filtered light, the printed drape is everything a woman could desire for her home, no matter it is a house or a flat. And if we take into consideration the price between Eur 59.82 and 82.54, I think we already have a deal! © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to A Drape like no Other |
The Infinit agency moved its headquarters into a hotel Posted: 31 Oct 2011 08:28 AM PDT Infinit is a Romanian agency specialized in digital services. Like many other small companies, its first headquarters was inside the owner's apartment. Lately the company was successful and now they were able to move from the small apartment into the Rin Grand hotel where they can enjoy the hotel's all-inclusive services. The company was founded in April of 2007 and last year only it had 5 different headquarters locations: two apartments, a house and two different locations from the Rin Grand Hotel where they can still be found. The company currently has around 30 employees that are able to benefit from the restaurants, cafés, gym, SPA and parking offered by the hotel. It's definitely better than in a crowded apartment. The founders decided to move the headquarters into the hotel when they finally couldn't take the conditions from the apartment anymore. It was very crowded and the neighbors were quite disturbing, especially when they had meetings with the clients. Now the employees work in a space of 270-300 sqm on a single floor. They can also use the two conference rooms, the kitchen and the parking lot, which is a big improvement. Among the company's clients we could mention Rompetrol, JTI, Honda, Proecter&Gamble, Volksbank, Rin Grand Hotel and GSK. It's still a small company but if continues to grow it will probably surprise us again real soon.{found on wall-street} © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to The Infinit agency moved its headquarters into a hotel |
Vintage and Modern Bathrooms by Irina Schastlivaya Posted: 31 Oct 2011 07:27 AM PDT Bathrooms are among the most important rooms in every house, no matter they are small or large, simple or luxurious, white or colorful and they are part of our universe. When we have our home, we want to do it according to out own personality, to our taste and this also refers to our bathroom. If some of us prefer simplicity, others want their bathrooms to look like some works of art. Irina Schastilivaya’s designs are definitely in the second category. Who could imagine that simply by using patterns on tiles, your bathroom turns into a real work of art? These details are eye-catching and make the space inviting, adding another dimension to the concept of common bathroom. There is a permanent combination of modern and vintage that creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The modern furniture pieces in a strong color and the strong patterns and decors on the tiles and the glass doors are the just an example. Another one would be the halogen light above the mirror, which work so well with the vintage patterns on the red tiles. If you prefer the Maroccan feel of the blue-cream bathroom, you will like the bigger bathrooms, or maybe the combination of dark wood with different tiles, which makes you think about a museum… Sometimes you can have a feeling of finding yourself in another period, in a residence, which belongs to a king or a queen, and not in a normal bathroom. At the same time, beyond the luxury, everything breathes modernity and elegance. Did you choose the bathroom that you like best?{found on h-d} © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Vintage and Modern Bathrooms by Irina Schastlivaya |
Nice Pendant Lamp Collection by Inhabit Posted: 31 Oct 2011 06:38 AM PDT Soda or mineral water is one of my favorite drinks. I just love the bubbles, I know is a healthy drink and it always quenches my thirsty. I even remember of my pregnancy period when doctor recommends you the simple water without any bubbles. I tried to follow the recommendation but I could not exclude my precious soda from my menu. I could not resist it especially on the hot summer days which proved to be very difficult for me. If you are a really loyal person to this type of drink you may find out that there can be made amazing things from the soda bottles. So you can take the example from the design house, Inhabit which seems to be known for its eco-friendly attitude and products. It succeeded to create a nice Pendant Lamp Collection entirely made of recycled soda bottles. This collection is made from 100 percent certified PET fabric comprised of recycled soda bottles. Each lamp comes with a 5' clear braided cord and a 6" diameter brushed nickel canopy. Denise Fogarty’s fresh interior decors Posted: 31 Oct 2011 05:42 AM PDT Of course, there is an infinity of interior décor ideas. Still, every designer has a specific style and is known for the particularities of the decors he created. Denise Fogarly is mostly known for her bright and fresh interior designs. Here are some examples. Denise has been named one of St. Lois's seven top designers and we can all see why. Let's start with the bright kitchen. It's actually a subtle adaptation of the contemporary white kitchen but this time with light blue walls. The furniture has also been carefully chosen and it's a combination between modern shapes and elegant classical details. An odd addition to the kitchen is that computer desk. Still, this only makes it unique. Denise Fogarty also has plenty of fresh ideas for living rooms. Here are some of them. Notice how beautifully the vibrant colors combine with the furniture and the carpets or floors. There are so many interesting details in the living rooms she designed. For example, the combination of styles, from classical to antique and to modern. The dining room presented here is also very beautiful. I personally like the green tone used for the walls and the little matching details like the pattern from the chairs or the decorative pillows. Again, we have an eclectic décor. The chandelier is both modern and antique and the chairs are quite striking. These are just a few examples illustrating the interior decors Denise Fogarty is able to create. © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Denise Fogarty's fresh interior decors |

Modern and colorful London residence Posted: 31 Oct 2011 03:34 AM PDT London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and even though the weather might not be so friendly, the homes there are very inviting and bright. Take for example this random property. It's a London estate and it features a modern, colorful and very dynamic interior design. The ceiling has different heights and the walls are sometimes angled because of the shape of the house. But this only makes this home even more interesting and unique. The walls are completely white in most rooms, except for the bright orange bathroom. I love the mirror in there placed adjacent to the bathtub. It creates the impression of a larger space and it's also an original and quite interesting addition. What I also like about the whole house is the way all the colors, textures and materials combine. The interior décor is very inviting and warm and the colors are just in the right places. The living/dining room is spacious and bright, with glass sliding doors and wooden frames. The furniture is beautifully chosen. The tables and chairs are white and so are the shelves. Only the sofas are colorful. Still, that's enough to make the décor pop up. This property is currently for rental. It would a very warm and welcoming family home, a modern getaway and a private piece of paradise.{found on domusnova} © Homedit- Daily interior design ideas ! | Permalink to Modern and colorful London residence |
